Big Data and Big Money in the Big Apple

Friday, October 23, 2015

The Licensing Executives Society (U.S.A. and Canada), Inc. Heads to New York City for its Annual Meeting, October 25-28

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. – October 23, 2015 — Licensing professionals and intellectual property experts will gather this weekend for the 50th Anniversary meeting and celebration of the Licensing Executives Society (U.S.A. and Canada), Inc. (LES) at the Marriott Marquis in New York City.

The event’s theme, Big Money, Big Data, and Big Ideas: The Intersection of Innovation and Business, will focus on the evolution of "big data" and the role it is having on business strategies and innovation, and will look at the financial climate for innovation.

“For the past 50 years, LES has been the leading association for professionals involved in the licensing, transfer, use, development, commercialization, and marketing of intellectual property,” said LES president, Pamela Demain. “The Society has grown and evolved with the IP community, and our mission is to continue to provide members with educational programming and opportunities to network with peers, foster connections, and develop multi-beneficial business relationships.”

Featured speakers include Pulitzer Prize-winning author Dr. Siddhartha Mukherjee, best-selling author David Ewing Duncan, senior patent counsel for strategic IP initiatives of Google, Duane Valz, plus many other top names in the IP and licensing community.

Attendees will be able to customize their schedules by specific tracks, each designed for the various special interests and sectors within the Society. In addition, they will be able to take advantage of networking opportunities with those within and outside of their special interest and sectors.

“Attendees will participate in workshops and discussions that are geared to their specific industry and area of interest,” added Demain. “In addition, the off-site sector events will provide the opportunity to continue the conversation with colleagues, in a relaxed atmosphere that welcomes networking, collaboration and deal making.”
