On the Eve of Pivotal House Vote, Licensing Executives Society DC Chapter Hosts Nation's Leading Experts to Discuss Embattled "Innovation Act" 

WHO:
Strong opposition to the current "Innovation Act" (H.R. 3309) continues to swell with a growing number of IP-related groups and thought leaders calling for postponement of Thursday's House vote on the bill which – unless redrafted -- threatens to weaken fundamental property rights, diminish the value of intellectual property and innovation, and suppress business formation and job growth.

Tomorrow, the Licensing Executives Society, Greater Washington, DC Chapter will host a panel of the country's foremost intellectual property thought leaders to discuss implications of the embattled 'Innovation Act," including:

  • Paul Michel, Chief Judge (ret.), U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit
  • Adam Mossoff, Professor of Law, George Mason University School of Law, Co-Director of Academic Programs & Senior Scholar, Center for the Protection of Intellectual Property
