The Licensing Executives Society (U.S.A. and Canada), Inc. proclaims its support of continuing intellectual property education programs

RESTON, VA – February 24, 2016 - On February 7, 2016, Licensing Executives Society U.S.A. and Canada (LES) voted unanimously to proclaim its support of continuing intellectual property education programs and to establish cooperative relationships globally with like-minded intellectual property societies. LES’s goal is to enhance education and to disseminate best practices in intellectual property management and protection for the benefit of society at large.

LES achieves this goal by creating professional development programs and leveraging the subject matter expertise of the LES member base. This expertise covers a wide variety of topics: Valuation, Negotiation, IP Business Basics, Best Practices in Licensing, Agreement Drafting, Agreement Management, and Strategic Licensing.

“This resolution reaffirms the commitment to position LES as a leader in high-level curriculum within the IP licensing industry while we continue to strengthen relationships and align ourselves with other organizations,” says LES Chairman of the Board Jeffrey S. Whittle, partner, Hogan Lovells, US, LLP.

LES continues to strengthen relationships with existing partners such as the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI), the Biotechnology Industry Association (BIO), the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM), and Certified Licensing Professionals (CLP) for the educational betterment of the IP licensing industry.
