On April 7th, LES Toronto offered an LES Education Program presented by two Past-Presidents of the Licensing Executives Society, Jeff Whittle (Hogan Lovells US, LLP) and Francois Painchaud (ROBIC, LLP). The program was a highly engaging review of intellectual property basics covering both legal and business concepts impacting licensing. Program attendees included individuals from academia, tech and life science companies, law firms, and government.

Break out, table discussions enhanced the opportunity for discussion and collaborative learning. This complimented the five presentation sections and group exercises, which provided a well-rounded day of learning.

The expertise and knowledge of the two presenters provided an invaluable experience. The LES Toronto Chapter thanks Jeff and Francois for their time and involvement in making this program a success. We also wish to thank Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP for kindly providing space for the event.
