Member welcome letter which will tell you how to get the most out of your membership. You will also receive a separate invitation to the next New Member Orientation session where you can meet other new members and hear more about the benefits
of your LES Membership. We recently switched to a rolling expiration date for our memberships, so your membership expires one year from your join or renewal date!
Regular Members - $425/year
Any person of good ethical reputation and business affiliation who subscribes to the society's rules of conduct for members, and who, in business or professional activities, has significant responsibility for the licensing or transfer
of industrial or intellectual property rights, or for other substantial action relating thereto, shall qualify as an active member.

For $2,095, up to 15 employees of your IP Owner organization can join LES as members

LES Global IP Owner Membership - $5000/year

We listened to our members.
You asked for a simple plan for an IP Owner to enroll their employees around the world for a single price. Here it is!
Now, LES is offering a pilot global membership program to IP Owner organizations to provide the benefits of LES membership to their employees around the world for one annual fee.
For $5,000 per year, you can register your employees to participate in any of the 33 LES regional societies (such as USA/CA), ensuring that your employees are connected to the largest network of IP licensing professionals in the world.
IP Owner organizations** include: Operating Companies*, Academia (educational, non-profit and/or research institutions), and government entities (register by entity).
Benefits:
- All members
designated by their IP Owner organization** receive full membership
benefits from LES, including free webinars, member-discounts for events,
access to LES & LESI sectors, committees and chapters, and access
to member-only resources and documents (including the LES USA/CA Royalty

Student Membership - $60/year
In accordance with Article 2.5 of the LES Bylaws, a student member is defined as:
Any person not qualified under any other class of membership who is regularly enrolled as a graduate or undergraduate student of an accredited college, university, or post-graduate school and has a bona fide interest in the profession. Such membership
shall continue until the close of the fiscal year of the society in which such person ceases to meet such qualifications.

Emeritus Membership (Retiree) - $195/year
In accordance with Article 2.5 of the LES Bylaws, Emeritus member is defined as:
A person who has been an active member of the Society for at least five (5) consecutive years, but is no longer engaged in licensing, valuation or management of intellectual property rights or activity in technology transfer.
These applications are reviewed at the quarterly LES Board of Directors meetings. Applicants will be notified about the status of your application after the meeting.
