LES Atlanta, New Jersey and Toronto Chapter Events
NYC & Houston Chapter EventsLES Chapters held events throughout April to recognize and celebrate World IP Day with colleagues. Events ranged from panel discussions to social receptions bringing together licensing professionals from all industries to collaborate and discuss trending issues impacting the profession. Presentation topics included the U.S. Economic Espionage Act,at the Wisconsin Chapter, https://tinyurl.com/kmaq8kl, petroleum technologies at the Houston Chapter, https://tinyurl.com/l84sldx, and strategy and profitability at the New Your City Chapter, https://tinyurl.com/ku549wr. In addition, the Iowa Chapter held a half day event, https://tinyurl.com/k2tokq6, and the Silicon Valley Chapter, https://tinyurl.com/mysrsto, held a full-day event of speakers and presentations.

“This is a great opportunity to invite and network with entrepreneurs and businesses in the community who might not normally attend an LES event,” observed Atlanta Co-Chair, Craig Cupid. “Our event discussed the growing Georgia film industry, http://tinyurl.com/mnoqp8v, which attracted a broad range of attendees who might not normally focus on licensing. By selecting a topic related to pop culture and economic growth, we were able to connect two seemingly disparate sectors and have an engaging discussion.”

The New Jersey Chapter invited a speaker from Princeton University to discuss the new and evolving field about the link between human, animal, and environmental health, while the Toronto Chapter addressed how to navigate IP in the U.S., https://tinyurl.com/lzrus9q.

Seventeen chapter events were held across the U.S. and Canada during the month of April offering opportunities to connect, learn, discuss current issues, evaluate challenges, and collaborate on solutions. Find monthly events near you on the LES Community Calendar, and read the Chapter and Webinar Weekly Roundup e-mail every Monday morning to register to attend chapter events in your region. Participate in local chapter events to get the most out of your LES membership!
