Through a panel discussion between industry representatives and government officials, the session will educate the audience about business process standards on intangible assets management, currently under development at LES. The panel will highlight recent achievements, challenges in reaching consensus, and procedural requirements to create an ANSI-accredited American National Standard. Panelists will interact with the audience to explain why there is a need for the industry to get together to develop voluntary standards for IP management, what are the (many) steps to finalize a business process standard, and how the industry can benefit from using such voluntary standards. With a combination of representatives from committees at different stages of development, the conversation will also focus on practical aspects, common challenges, and lessons learned.
