Technical data and computer software rights continue to be a contentious topic between the military customer and defense contractors, and the H001 clause represents a prime example of Government overreach in trying to acquire data. The use of the H001 clause is a prime example of customer overreach extension of the Air Force’s continuing push to gain increasing access to, and rights in, data deemed vital to long-term system.
