That was never more evident than over the last year when both sectors came together seamlessly to develop effective vaccines in record time which are literally saving the world in the worst pandemic in a century. But the system making these relationships possible is under unprecedented attack. The Biden Administration announced that it would support efforts to make IP related to Covid-19 vaccines and therapies available for the world to copy. It is under pressure to reverse 40 years of practice implementing the Bayh-Dole Act, which is the cornerstone of our technology transfer system, to misapply its march in provision so the government can arbitrarily set prices on products made from federally funded inventions.
