 | Todd Larson, Managing Director-Valuation Advisory, Stout
Todd Larson has nearly 30 years of experience providing valuation services to both public and private-sector clients and holds the Accredited Senior Appraiser designation from the American Society of Appraisers. He also serves as a Member-at-Large on the American Society of Appraisers Business Valuation Discipline Committee (an elected position that helps manage the membership, education, and accreditation requirements within the business valuation group). Todd advises both publicly traded and privately owned companies on valuation matters regarding intangible assets, equity and debt securities for the purposes of financial and tax reporting, shareholder and succession planning, and litigation. He has extensive expertise across a broad range of industries, including financial services, manufacturing, retail, consumer products, pharmaceuticals, technology, and food distribution industries, among others. Prior to Stout, Todd was a Director at Vantage Point Advisors, Inc. Other professional experience includes managing the Valuation Advisory Services Group of SingerLewak and as a Vice-President at Cogent Valuation (formerly Houlihan Valuation Advisors). Todd is also a lecturer at California State University Northridge, teaching finance and computer courses.
|  | Tommy Martindale, Director of the Technology Transfer Office, San Diego State University
As Director of the TTO, Tommy Martindale is responsible for the protection and commercialization
of technologies developed at SDSU. Tommy supports the TTO by evaluating the patentability
and market potential for faculty inventions, managing the protection of faculty-developed
intellectual property, and commercializing SDSU technologies through licensing. Tommy
is a member of the State Bar of California and is registered to practice before the
United States Patent and Trademark Office. He also contributes to the teaching team
of the NSF-funded CSU Biological Sciences I-Corps site, training researchers how to
move their research-based innovations out of the lab and into the marketplace. Further,
Tommy is the immediate past president of the San Diego Innovation Council.

| Matthew Vold, Director-Intellectual Property Services, Stout
Matthew Vold has over 20 years of experience providing consulting services to clients in the areas of intellectual property valuation, business valuation, intellectual property and other complex commercial disputes, and transfer pricing. Matthew has valued patents, trademarks, copyrights, rights of publicity, and other intangible assets for a variety of purposes, including supporting transactions involving licenses, purchases/sales, and joint ventures; assisting with tax strategy and compliance for trust & estate issues and related party transactions; using intellectual property assets to raise capital; financial reporting; aiding in corporate strategic decision-making; and supporting regulatory compliance. He has also valued businesses and legal entities for both public and private companies to support various tax and financial reporting requirements. Matthew has provided testimony as a valuation expert and offered opinions in Federal District Court. He has provided dispute resolution services in matters related to patent, copyright, trademark, and trade dress infringement, trade secret misappropriation, fraudulent transfers, breach of contract, transfer pricing, accounting malpractice, bankruptcy, and section 337 intellectual property matters before the U.S. International Trade Commission. His experience includes developing damages strategies, building complex economic analyses, preparing expert reports, and providing deposition and trial preparation and assistance. Matthew’s transfer pricing experience includes assisting clients with planning, documentation, and defense of intercompany pricing for intangible property, tangible product, financing, and services transactions. He has also provided audit assistance and participated in negotiations with tax authorities from the United States, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Malaysia, and Singapore, among others. Matthew has provided lectures on intellectual property valuation and related topics at the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and the University of Illinois College of Law. He has also spoken at conferences or other events for many organizations, including Licensing Executives Society (LES), Executive Enterprise Institute (EEI), myLawCLE, and LawPracticeCLE, among others. |

Attorney and former in-house general counsel, Sarah
Hibbard, helps technology, life sciences, and digital health companies
create a strong legal foundation and position themselves for growth on
the journey from research to commercial success, drawing on in-house
start-up and multibillion-dollar company experience.
Her focus includes general corporate governance, private debt and
equity financings, and mergers and acquisitions, as well as structuring
and negotiating intellectual property and commercial transactions such
as licensing and tech transfers, collaborations, pre-clinical and
clinical research, research and development activities, and
manufacturing.
Sarah also helps boards and C-suites balance corporate governance and
risk, steward and deploy capital, and carefully navigate the interplay
between stock performance, legal compliance, litigation, and operational
continuity. In addition, she advises companies in dealings with
government agencies, legislators, and other stakeholders.
Prior to joining Snell & Wilmer, Sarah was general counsel for a
San Diego-based biotechnology company operating in the oncology space.
Her experience includes biotech, medical device, and aesthetics, as well
as hardware and XaaS technologies.
