Outreach and Partnership Committee

The High Tech Sector Outreach and Partnership Committee (OPC) helps forge partnerships and professional relationships with organizations and associations to create value for members of the High Tech Sector.  

This is achieved by understanding from the High Tech Sector Technical Committees (Mobile and Consumer Electronics, Aerospace and Transportation, Software, Gaming IP and Technology, Semiconductors, Clean Tech and Nanotech) the professional organizations of interest and then creating collaborative opportunities with those organizations to facilitate OPC's mission and goals.

Mission
The mission of the High Technology Sector's Outreach Committee is to forge beneficial relationships and partnerships with other organizations and associations, in order to create opportunities for dialogue and exchange both to promote our Sector's objectives and help others understand the role of intellectual property and licensing in our modern, global economy. 

Goals:
The goals for cross-organizational cooperation include:

• developing membership opportunities for both HTS and its committees;
• securing professional and personal development opportunities for our members;
• procuring educational content for our Sector and committee level programs;
• facilitating the exchange of information that may impact the licensing community;
• sharing educational content and licensure opportunities, such as the CLP program;
• increasing knowledge and awareness of the role of LES in maintaining professional standards in the licensing community; and
• increasing the number of LES members by introducing LES and the benefits of being a member of LES

The Outreach Committee will establish annual objectives for increasing cross-organizational contacts and cooperation, through coordination with Sector and committee leadership.  The Outreach Committee will also be committed to assisting the Sector and its committees with multi-year programs and outreach opportunities, which may include establishing seminar and program opportunities with academic institutions, the development and maintenance of a database for individual development opportunities, and cross-Sector collaboration.
